The connections. Taranto is served by Trenitalia regional and Intercity trains. The line links it to Bari, Brindisi (about an hour) and Lecce, and via connections to Italy's main cities. Westwards, the line continues along the Ionian coast towards Metaponto and Basilicata.
From the airports. The train is often the best solution for arriving from the Bari and Brindisi airports, possibly with one change.
