Marina di Pulsano: Lido Silvana and hidden coves

Ionian coast, 20 km from Taranto

Marina di Pulsano: 8 km of Ionian shoreline, with Lido Silvana, hidden coves, golden sand and crystal-clear sea. How to get there from Taranto.

History

Marina di Pulsano is one of the gems of the Tarantine Ionian coast, just outside the city. It belongs to the "Lands of Sea and Sun" circuit and boasts a shoreline of around 8 km, where sandy beaches alternate with rocky stretches and hidden coves.

Its most famous beach is Lido Silvana: an enchanting semicircular bay of golden sand, embraced by a pine wood and dune formations cloaked in Mediterranean scrub, with a turquoise, transparent, shallow sea.

What to see

The shoreline offers great variety: fine-sand beaches and areas of low rocks, perfect for dives and snorkelling, with limpid water revealing seabeds rich in marine life. Standouts include Montedarena, Pezzarossa and Serrone, small crystal-water bays that are often less crowded.

Equipped establishments alternate with free stretches. Bars and restaurants nearby round off the experience with the dishes of the Puglian tradition. Given its closeness to Taranto and the other coastal spots, Pulsano is an excellent base for exploring the coast.
